"So long and thanks for all the fish"

We're writing to let you know that we won't be running the footy tipping competition this year.

We've been at it for twelve years now, much longer than we originally expected, and we had fun while it lasted, but it's time to hang up our boots and move on.

Since starting in 1998 we attracted over six-hundred members at our peak, received great feedback and support, laughed at the many humorous contributions, crashed servers, flooded email systems, met very nice people, and even enjoyed some lovely correspondence with the AFL's lawyers.

Thanks to all our members for sticking with us, thanks to the group administrators for helping us out, thanks to the sponsors for providing the winning prizes, and thanks to the guys at Dynamic Solutions for volunteering the use of their facilities.

So, cheerio, keep tipping and may your favourite team win the premiership.
